Following an early career as a Geologist in Oil industry exploration and a distinguished career as a NASA Astronaut, Dr Jim Reilly will present a ½ day symposium on lessons from space exploration that have a direct benefit to teams working in the oil & gas sector, from his unique perspective of working in both. Having taken part in 3 space missions, logged over 850 hours in space with 5 space walks totaling over 31 hours, Dr Reilly is able to offer exceptional insight into the importance of leadership in hostile environments and the development of high performance teams. From the “ultimate in teamwork” for space missions to the principles of personal dedication and leadership techniques in the oil & gas sector, Dr Reilly will discuss the importance of high performance teams for organizational success.
