NHS Project Management Professional
Successful NHS project managers need to successfully deploy skills in project definition, appraisal, planning, execution and completion. They also need to demonstrate effective people management, organisation, stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills to complete their projects within cost, schedule, quality, safety and other parameters.

This course, which has been accredited by The Association for Project Management (APM) and The Project Management Institute (PMI) aims to provide a forum specifically for NHS Project Managers and members of NHS project teams to gain exposure to Best Practice in Project Management in its broadest sense. Using the professional standard of the as the basis for the programme topics, the topics are addressed by demonstrating best practices and applying these to a simulation project.

Course Structure
The course is delivered as a 4 Day Workshop. The topics will be addressed be demonstrating best practices and applying these to an NHS simulation project with elements of service re-design and capital projects. Delegates seeking a project management qualification should also book onto the appropriate exam preperation workshop. All learners will be provided with pre-course access to 12 hours of eLearning content.

Prerequisites
Completion of the pre-course eLearning Materials.

This course is designed for NHS project managers, NHS project team members, other NHS managers and all those who would benefit from exposure to best practices in project management.

Certification
This course is a pre-requisite for candidates seeking accreditation by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for the Certificated Associate of Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials. This also provides 35 PMI Personal Development Units (PDUs), meeting the entry requirement. It is also a pre-requisite for candidates seeking accreditation by the Association for Project Management (APM) for the APM Professional (APMP / IPMA Level D) qualification.
