Introduction to Project Controls
This 4day course has been designed to ensure all requirements of the NOS Project Control Level 3 Competency framework are covered.  These cover the occupations of estimating, cost control, planning and commercial support in respect of all aspects from developing through to implementing the project. 

Course Structure
This course is delivered as a workshop using worked examples and case studies.  It will give participants the skills and understanding to improve their project control performance using a range of best practice tools and techniques.

None

Target Audience
This course is designed who those who are new to project control, or are being prepared for project control roles, or who require a refresher overview of project control principles, or relatively recent graduates.

  • Estimating techniques
  • Contracts and project control
  • Procurement and project control
  • The integration of budgets and schedules

  • Project ‘crashing’
  • Organisational roles & responsibilities
  • Document & configuration management
  • Creating a positive culture for project control
  • Risk & project control
  • Probability & business decisions
  • Understanding the knowledge underpinning the project control NVQ/SVQ and be able to develop the appropriate competencies for Level 3/4 awards (ECITB 4 Day Course only).
